THE Customer NEED

The next generation of musicians were buying their recording and stage gear online. Traditional music retailer sales were on the decline. This posed a significant problem for BBE, whose flagship SonicMax audio rack system sales were directly connected to in-store demos. They needed a new way to demo their technology to 16–24-yr-old musicians. Luckily, there was this thing called an iPhone.



The CX challenge

Before we could build and market an app, we had to convince BBE executives that they could afford it. And once we had the budget and the app, we needed to convince an ambivalent audience that it was worth paying $0.99 for something they currently get for free.
